Clinical Psychologists are mental health specialists who work with patients to identify and address behavioural, emotional, and thought-related issues. They provide individual, family, couples and group therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, psychodynamic approaches and existential interventions. Clinical Psychologists also provide assessments including diagnosis of mental illnesses using the latest diagnostic criteria. In addition they may design tailored treatment plans for their clients that use medications and/or psychological interventions.
